Safe Scouting
Wanted: Parents willing to have fun with our Scouts!
Running a Quality Program based on National Standards
Having safe rewarding and engaging scouting experiences is a top priority for all our planned activities. This is done by following the Guide to Safe Scouting, which is reviewed and updated regularly by the National Council. Our pack, as leaders and parents, have the responsibility to review this guide and also continue to keep ourselves updated with the scout trainings provided by the National Council. A collective approach and effort by all members of our scout unit will ensure our program stays and continues to provide safe rewarding, and engaging experiences.
How do we as leaders and parents keep ourselves informed?
All parents in the Pack should review and complete the online training for Youth Protection. - No registration or Fee to do training - Link below.
All parents should be aware of the "Guide to Safe Scouting" rules - Click on buttons below as a reference if a questionable idea comes up in the planning of a scout activity.
All parents should be aware of other trainings offered online. All these trainings can be done at scout meeting with our high speed internet connection. See below for opportunities.
Links to becoming Informed
Its no secret great Pack programs have a team of dedicated parents that make the magic happen. Success at this Pack is dependent on parents willingness to try new things, receive training, and enjoy participating in the program. Veterans of the program can see how the program has changed since your last involvement.
